Black and Clark Funeral Home Celebrates 100th Anniversary

In June, Black and Clark Funeral Home (Black and Clark) celebrated its 100th Anniversary. A ceremony honoring Black and Clark was held in the Flag Room at Dallas City Hall on June 24, 2014. Councilmen Dwaine Caraway and Tennell Atkins Presented to Linda Mitchell, CEO, Special Recognitions on behalf of the City of Dallas. State Representative Helen Giddings also presented
a Proclamation from the State of Texas honoring the funeral home.

Founded by Sam Black in 1914 and later joined as a business partner in 1936 with C. J. Clark, Black and Clark has served the City of Dallas with integrity, honesty, and quality service. Now under the direction of shareholders Linda Mitchell, Emanuel Pruitt, Gary Clark, and Johnny Wilson (retired), Black and Clark Funeral Home offers complete funeral, cremation, and transport
services.
