AdvoCare GivesAdvoCare International® (AdvoCare), a premier health and wellness company, announced today it will contribute $10,000 to the North Texas Food Bank, as part of its commitment to help the fight against hunger. The donation is part of a larger campaign where AdvoCare will make a $10,000 donation to 12 food banks in cities that coincide with the company’s AdvoNation® leadership training events January 10 – 17, resulting in a total contribution of $120,000 to aid hunger relief.

“As a health and wellness company, we understand how hunger impacts our ability to build the best versions of ourselves,” said Allison Levy, Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for AdvoCare. “We are dedicated to bringing awareness to this struggle and providing resources to help bring an end to it in the communities we serve.”

January is an important month for food banks as they work to replenish their inventories after the busy holiday season. This campaign marks the second year in a row AdvoCare has donated to food banks as part of the AdvoNation leadership training events.

“We are grateful to AdvoCare for their tremendous support and generosity,” said Jan Pruitt, President and CEO of the North Texas Food Bank. “This significant contribution comes at a crucial time when our inventory needs to be replenished after the holidays. This financial contribution will make a significant impact in the fight against hunger in the North Texas community. ”

In fiscal year 2014 the North Texas Food Bank provided access to some 62 million nutritious meals. NTFB works with more than 250 nonprofit partner agencies and distributes food at more than 1,000 locations.

The food banks selected to receive a $10,000 donation are part of Feeding America, a nationwide network of 200 food banks that leads the fight against hunger in the U.S. Together, the organization provides food to more than 46 million people through 60,000 food pantries and meal programs in communities across America.
