“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to set out for a place that he was to receive as an inheritance; and he set out, not knowing where he was going. By Faith he stayed for a time in the land he had been promised” (Hebrews 11:8-9).

Where are you in your faith? Do you have the faith of Abraham? Many of us do not. We have to work at being faithful. But Abraham’s faith was steady. As difficult situations came Abraham’s way, he did not waiver. This is part of our walk with God. Life will have its difficulties.  We will face many mountains and we might fall down.  However, it does not mean that we have to lose our faith during the difficult times. It’s during these times that we can learn to deepen our faith.

Once our faith is deepened, we then have to learn how to act on our faith. Acting on our faith means to do what He has placed on our hearts to do. Act like a victor and not a victim. So learn to be a person full of faith. Avoid being a faithless person. Faith requires action.

In the book of Hebrews it talks about other individuals who had strong faith and they were doers. They were individuals who refused to sit on their faith. For example, Noah was another one of those individuals who walked by faith.  “By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family” (Hebrews 11: 7).  Noah had no idea when the storm would come, but he knew a storm was coming. He believed what God had told him to do and he did it.

The next time you feel as though your faith is not strong, hold onto your “little bit of faith” and do what God is telling you to do. Walk in faith, my friend.    Amen? Amen.
