Why are you here? Have you ever thought about that? I know I have and I’m sure you have as well.  In the book of Jeremiah, it talks about the special thoughts God has about us. It says,

“I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).  There is a purpose for our lives.

Your life may be changing in ways you could not have imagined.  You may be starting a new job, you might be moving to a new city, you might have to downsize your home. No matter what the change might be in your life, God is still in control.

God doesn’t want us to worry about our situations or circumstances. He wants us to give our cares to Him. He knows what the outcome is going to be before we do.  God wants us to have hope and a future. If we are able to encounter God, it will change our lives. It happened to Paul, it happened to Moses, and it happened to Noah. All of these individuals had life changing situations and experiences to occur in their lives.

Their situations helped to change the direction of their lives. They were never the same. They learned to trust and believe in God and walk in faith with Him.  This is why when the Bible says that God has “…thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope,” this is God’s will for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11).

God’s desire is for us to walk as one with Him and to believe that He has a purpose for our lives. If we are able to stay focused on Him, then He will direct our paths and lead us toward a better place than we could have ever imagined.  All we have to do is follow Him.  Are you willing to believe and follow Him? I know I will. Amen? Amen.
