What do you do when you are in the middle of a storm? Are you able to still praise God? Or do you become discouraged and turn your back on God? Hopefully you continue to praise God while you are going through the storm. But there are some battles that are not ours to fight. The Bible says that we should not be discouraged because of difficulties that we may encounter, “For the battle is not yours but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15).

When you allow God to fight your battles it shows that you depend on His strength and not your own. Learning how to step back and seek God’s will in a situation can help you learn to be still and trust in Him. However, often we want to fight our own battles. This can, at times, lead us down the wrong path because we and depending on our own instincts.

Allowing God to fight our battles helps us to see Him moving in our lives. It is during these times that we know He is our Father. The Lord delights when we are able to trust in Him. When we have a relationship with God, we have the right kind of protection. Do you need God to fight your battle for you? If you do, you need to grow your relationship with Him. When you are depending and trusting God, He will show up when you truly need Him. Can you let God fight your battles? I know I can. Amen? Amen.
