One of the most famous conductors of the Underground Railroad was Harriet Tubman. She risked her life endless times reaching back into the South to save family, friends, and people who desired to touch the distant dream of freedom.  North they would go following a path that was carved by the blood, sweat, and tears of countless slaves led by Lady Moses (Harriet Tubman).

Lady Moses had a dream to take people to freedom. She fought the good fight and whisked away in the middle of the night to help those who were unable to help themselves.  She risked her life many times over moving swiftly to and from the South and back toward the North again with passengers on her golden train.  Her golden train moved quietly during the night through the woods, lakes, and rivers along the banks and the land to the destination of Freedom!

Moving quickly to safe houses near the lake, moving onward to another house over the hills, moving steadily toward a house straight ahead she led her passengers swiftly in the middle of the night. Lady Moses had no fear for she heard the voice of God leading her along the way.

And as they would steal away, she sang her quiet hymns that kept her soul still and her mind clear knowing that what she was doing was right. Her faith kept her strong when she was weak. Her faith kept her strong when she wanted to weep, and her faith kept her strong when she couldn’t sleep.

A leading abolitionist she was then. A hero she is today. A woman of faith she was to the masses. And Lady Moses she became to those she helped.  Setting her people free like Moses in the Bible she walked tall and proud no one could stop her.  Knowing she was doing God’s will, she continued her mission to set the captive free.  Lady Moses fulfilled her dream and helped slaves to taste the sweet nectar of freedom.
