Have you even given your child a pass?   You know, your child has done something you thought he or she should not have done, but because you have love and compassion for them, you’re willing to give them a pass. This is what God does for us as well. When we should have been severely dealt with because of our sin or a situation in our life, God, somehow, looks beyond our situation and is willing to give us a pass. This does not mean that he does not like what we have done, it simply means he has compassion for us that He is willing to give us another chance.

Our Heavenly Father is a God of many chances! In the book of Psalm, it says, “But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness” (Psalm 86:15). How lovely is that? God loves us sooooo much that He is willing to give us several chances. He’s slow to anger and He has a steady love for us.  His love is everlasting.

God’s grace is so amazing that we should give thanks to Him every single day. There should not be a day that we are not willing to thank Him for His grace. There is no greater love than the love He has for His children. I’m thankful that I can be called a child of God!

How thankful are you for God’s grace? Take a few minutes to think about how many passes you have been given by God, once you finish making your list, I guarantee you will be willing to give Him thanks for His grace. Amen? Amen!
