A Little Bit of Faith: God is Good

If you have ever been to church, you may have heard the pastor, a church member, or the entire church say, “God is good, all the time God’s good!” If you have, then you know that when the church says it in unison, it’s as if you’re listening to a song. Thus, when we sing praises unto God, it’s like a perfume to His nostrils. God likes when we acknowledge Him and His goodness, grace, and mercy.

The Bible says in the book of Psalm, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way” (Psalm 37:23). As we learn to obey God, we will begin to take the next step of obedience. It will not be so difficult for us the next time. Learning how to be obedient to God helps us to walk with Him.

If you are a follower of Christ, you want to learn how to walk with God. All of us must learn to take baby steps. When we take baby steps, we learn how to take bigger steps as we go along. Then when we say as a church in unison, “God is good, all the time God’s good!” He will be more pleased with us because we are learning to walk in obedience to Him.

So this week, let us all take a step toward obedience to God. Do you think you’ll give it a try? I know I will. Amen? Amen.
