“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die…a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).  Like all of us, we struggle with having enough time to get everything done.  We want to keep pressing forward to try and make things fit our schedule.  We probably have the right intentions, but when we are not able to do all the things we think we should do in a day, we feel as though we have failed.

However, like it says in Ecclesiastes, there is a season for everything.  Perhaps it is not the right season for us to take on new responsibility or a new job.  Perhaps it is the right time for us to be still and hear the quiet voice of God telling us to spend more time with our family. This could be the season that we are meant to be in at that moment. Perhaps the season has passed for whatever it is we had our heart’s set on and we must let it go.

Our lives have so many different seasons that it is difficult to know which season we are in. But when we take the time to ascertain where we are in life, we might be able to move into our new season of life without much difficulty.  Change is not easy, but change will come to all of us. When we know God, we know that when the changes come into our lives, we don’t have to be afraid because He is with us through all of it.

Everything must change and we must learn to move into the different seasons’ of our lives. Are you ready for your new season of life? I know I am. Amen? Amen.
