Have you ever needed a place to rest your weary head? Have you ever felt left alone? Many of us have at times. This life can be difficult; when life is difficult, we look for someone whom we can consult with or confide in. Yet, there is a person whom we can trust and tell all our problems and concerns to. That person is Jesus.

In the book of Psalm it says, “Lord, You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations” (Psalm 90:1).   What does this mean? It means that in any situation or circumstances, we are able to find our rest, find our peace, and find our joy in God. There is

no need for us to dwell outside of Him. We are able to dwell in Him.

In this Psalm, Moses does not doubt who God is or for how long He (God) has and will exist. This is why the Psalm goes on to say “…from everlasting to everlasting you are God”

(Psalm 90:2).  Moses was able to dwell in God’s presence and be assured that God is who he says He is.  Therefore, we should not allow our fears to hinder us from following God’s plan for our lives.

It is only when we are able to rest in God’s presence and in His unyielding love that we can say like Moses “Lord, you have been our dwelling place” (Psalm 90:1).  There is peace of heart, mind, and soul waiting for all of us. We cannot let our fears get in the way of our joy. We can dwell in God’s presence and be at peace. Can you trust in God this week and be at peace? I know I can. Amen? Amen.
