Have you prayed today? Did you pray yesterday? Have you prayed at all this month? The Word says that we are to “pray continually” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Many of us find ourselves praying when we are in need of God’s direction or help. When things are going well, we tend to stop praying and depend on ourselves.

Consistent prayer can be difficult for many of us to do. Prayer is important. It is difficult trying to pray daily about the various aspects of our lives. This includes the good, the bad, and the ugly. Oftentimes, we don’t want to talk about the ugly part of our lives with God. But when you have a relationship with God, He wants to hear from you on a daily basis. God wants to hear from us several times a day.

Think of prayer this way, it’s a conversation you have with a close friend, a family member, or your mother or father. You would not walk into your house and not speak to anyone. Nor should you do the same with our Heavenly Father. He wants to hear from you!

Prayer is a conversation with our Heavenly Father. He wants to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly aspects of our lives. He simply would like to get to know us better. Are you ready to spend more time with our Heavenly Father in prayer? I know I am.  Amen? Amen.
