There was a special birthday celebration in Madisonville, TX. On Saturday, August 2, 2014.

Mrs. Ikie Mae Donaldson, wearing an elegant platinum silver hat and a designer blue satin suit, celebrated her 100th birthday party at the Kimbro Center in Madisonville.

For her birthday, Mrs. Donaldson celebrate with children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, relatives, and friends. The celebration was truly reminiscent of the high honor that the honoree so incredibly deserve. Proclamations from State Senators and State Representatives were read Special tributes, remarks and recognitions were given. Ikie Mae’s Pastor, the Reverend C.D. Evans of Wilson & Evans Chapel C. O. G. I. C., Leona/Centerville, TX. Delivered a captivating sermon. The indelible moment of the 100th year celebration was the special recognition made by Mrs. Donaldson’s baby son, Will Donaldson. Will read and presented his mom with a special signed letter from President Barack Obama, and First Lady Michelle Obama, wishing her a Happy 100th Birthday.

Ikie Mae Donaldson was born in Madison County, TX on August 15, 1914. She grew up, raised her family, and has lived her life in Midway, TX. In reality, Mrs. Donaldson is a Born and bred Midway-Madison County-Texan

Ikie Mae and her late husband, Connie Donaldson, are the proud parents of ten children;

(Two of whom have predeceased her), twenty-seven grandchildren, fifty-four great grandchildren, and eighteen great-great grandchildren.

When asked to comment on her birthday celebration theme; blessed Like Thatk-100 Years”, Ikie Mae attributes her blessings to one word; Faith. She says, Faith will preserve your life”. On her celebration of 100 years, Ikie Mae said: “This has been a long journey, but by the grace of God, I made it”.
